Well, at least we finally know Taylor Sheridan is actually writing Landman Season 3.
After about eight months of basically hearing nothing—and three different production delays—Paramount+ EVP Jane Wiseman has finally confirmed that Sheridan is actively working on the scripts for Season 3.
So… that’s good.
The bad news?
We still have absolutely no idea when we’re going to see it.
There’s no official premiere date, or even a premiere window, but based on the current timeline, late 2027 is starting to look like a very real possibility.
And that’s kind of insane when you consider how successful this show has become.
The Season 2 finale reportedly pulled in 14.8 million views in its first 48 hours, and Landman broke the record for the biggest original-series premiere in Paramount+ history.
You’d think Paramount would have Billy Bob Thornton chained to an oil rig somewhere filming Season 3 around the clock.
Instead…
Taylor Sheridan is writing it.
That’s basically the biggest update we’ve gotten in eight months.
Look, I’m glad it’s happening. Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris has become one of my favorite characters on television, and I’ll absolutely be there when Season 3 finally drops.
But if the math is mathing and we’re really waiting until late 2027?
Jesus.
At this rate, Tommy Norris is going to retire before we get another episode.
