Well, this is a hell of a way to announce a final round.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will be its last. The news comes roughly two months after filming wrapped.
But here’s the part that raises an eyebrow.
Marvel has also parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane, whose contract expired and wasn’t renewed. That means the guy steering the show is leaving while the final season is still in postproduction.
Because apparently finishing the damn thing before showing your showrunner the door was too much to ask.
There’s no clear word on who will oversee its completion, although one source says postproduction is nearly finished. Marvel, meanwhile, offered no comment.
Look, three seasons and a proper ending could be perfectly fine. Give Matt Murdock a final season worth watching, and let him go out swinging.
But announcing the end while quietly losing your showrunner? That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.
The Man Without Fear deserves a better send-off than a corporate shrug.
