WICKED is a visual and musical feast, delivering on the high expectations set by its Broadway origins. The performances are nothing short of spellbinding, with the cast shining brightly. Special kudos to Ariana Grande, whose portrayal of Glinda is a revelation. Her vocal performance and charismatic presence elevate the film, proving her immense talent. Grande is a revelation — WOW, she was fantastic!

The set production and costumes are breathtaking and undoubtedly Oscar-worthy. Each scene bursts with intricate details, immersing viewers in the magical world of Oz. From Emerald City’s dazzling greens to the haunting shadows of the Wicked Witch’s lair, the visuals alone make this film worth the watch.

The music? Simply great. Fans of the musical will be delighted by the powerful renditions of iconic songs, which retain their emotional weight while introducing a cinematic flair.

That said, WICKED does feel a bit long in the tooth. Some scenes linger longer than necessary, slightly dulling the story’s pacing. Despite this, the film manages to keep its heart and charm intact.

Overall, WICKED is a triumph in many areas, particularly its performances and production design. While the runtime drags slightly, it’s a spellbinding experience that fans of the original musical—and newcomers—will enjoy.

Final Grade: B+
✨ A must-watch for musical lovers and anyone who enjoys a dazzling, emotional journey through the land of Oz.
