Looks like one of the X-Men’s biggest heavy hitters might be sitting this one out.
Marvel Studios is gearing up for its highly anticipated X-Men reboot, reportedly targeting a 2028 release, but it appears that fan-favorite Colossus may not be making the cut.
During an October Q&A on The Cosmic Circus Discord, insider Alex Perez was asked about the upcoming film’s roster, which he previously suggested would take some inspiration from the popular Astonishing X-Men comic book series. Naturally, fans wanted to know if Colossus, a major part of that comic’s lineup, would be included.
Perez didn’t exactly leave much room for interpretation, responding simply, “Not on the current roster.”
Now, before Colossus fans start sharpening their pitchforks, keep in mind that nothing is official. Marvel Studios hasn’t revealed its full X-Men lineup, and plans can always change.
Still, it’s a little disappointing to think that the metal-skinned mutant might not be part of Marvel’s first big-screen X-Men team.
What do you think? Should Colossus be part of the new X-Men lineup, or are there other mutants you’d rather see get the spotlight?
