TOP GUN and JACKASS release dates pushed to 2022

Paramount Pictures has pushed the released date of TOP GUN back from November of this year to May 27th, 2022, Memorial Day weekend.

It was also announced that Jackass: Forever will now be released on February 4th, 2022, instead of October 2021.

Yeah… Movie Theaters are fucked.

Want to see the new BATMAN trailer? You’ll have to wait.

DC confirmed that the second trailer for The Batman will premiere at 2021’s FanDome event, which takes place on Saturday, Oct. 16. The virtual convention will also give fans new looks at The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, among numerous other DC projects.

Can you believe the first look trailer premiered a YEAR AGO? I’m not excited for THIS film, but I am excited that DC is making a move against continuity. Where the MCU cannot get out of continuity, the DCU has a chance to make individual stories. A good story is a good story, not everything has to fit into one sandbox.

“Fresh Prince of Bell-Air” remake is a drama, and have cast it’s new Will

This is a story all about how Will Smith turned Jabari Bank’s life upside down. Watch as Smith surprises Banks and breaks the life-changing news that he has been cast in the iconic role of “Will”. Look out world, there’s a new Prince of Bel-Air in town.

Set in modern-day America, Bel-Air is a serialized dramatic analogue of the 90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that leans into the original premise: Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.

Because no-one in Hollywood has an original idea what-so-ever. Someone call HBO, maybe this series can have a crossover with “Euphoria”.

‘The Rocketeer’ Making A Comeback On Disney+

Disney is reviving a cult classic favorite, The Rocketeer, with a new Disney+ movie titled The Return of the Rocketeer. David and Jessica Oyelowo are producing under their Yoruba Saxon banner. The project, written by Ed Ricourt, will also be a possible starring project for the Selma actor.

The Return of the Rocketeer will have an all-new creative directive, with Ricourt’s story focusing on a retired Tuskegee airman who takes up the Rocketeer mantle.

There is a lot of talk on the internet about “race swapping” especially when it comes to super heroes, but I don’t think this is a problem when it comes to the Rocketeer. It is not a comic-based hero, or an established brand. Having someone else pick up the mantle seems like a good fit. And having a Tuskegee airman involved, could provide much needed depth to the character. However, I will miss Jennifer Connelly’s boobs.

JUNGLE CRUISE Sequel Officially in the Works

Disney has announced that a Jungle Cruise sequel is in the works.

Johnson and Blunt are both returning to reprise their roles, and Jaume Collet-Serra is also signed on return as director, while Michael Green is back to write the script.

JUNGLE CRUISE was “alright”, but nothing to write home about. I thought Johnson and Blunt were great together, but I didn’t like the fantasy elements and the heavy-handed special effects. It will be interesting where they take the sequel, based on where the left off Johnson’s character at the end of the first movie.

Dennis Rodman’s Escapades in Sin City During the 1998 NBA Finals Will Be a Movie Titled 48 HOURS IN VEGAS

Lionsgate has won the rights in an aggressive bidding war to the film 48 Hours in Vegas, which will follow the escapades of bad boy NBA star Dennis Rodman in Sin City during the 1998 NBA Championships.

Rodman went on a madcap adventure with his skittish assistant GM in the middle of the 1998 NBA Finals. The film will detail a budding friendship that neither one of them ever thought was possible but will end up solving both of their problems.

Here’s the big question… Will Rodman be playing himself?

NO TIME TO DIE | Final International Trailer

In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Here’s the problem with delaying movies due to Covid. I DON’T CARE ANYMORE! Release it on demand! I won’t be going back to the theaters ANYTIME SOON! Read my lips: “I DON’T CARE.”

Manifest lives! Netflix picks up the drama for a fourth and final season

“Couldn’t let a day as significant as today go uncelebrated,” the official Netflix account tweeted at 8:28 AM PST. “Manifest will officially return for a super-sized fourth and final season, only on Netflix!”

According to Deadline, stars Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh are already set to return for the 20-episode season, which will be broken up into at least two parts.

I really am dumbfounded as to why this is such a big hit on Netflix. Maybe it hit’s different binge watching. This series is SLOW, and full of red herrings. It’s almost as like the writers had no coherent story, they were just writing on the fly, season to season. I quit half-way into season 3, as it became a chore to watch. I really don’t care about a final season. LOST final season sucked, and the ending was ridiculous, but at least it was well written as far as character development. MANIFEST is just plain BAD.

Here’s your IRON MAN replacement. Happy now?

“We’re shooting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever right now, and the character of Riri Williams, you will meet in Black Panther 2 first,” Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige recently confirmed. “She started shooting, I think, this week before her Ironheart series.”

Created by Brian Michael Bendis, Mike Deodato, Eve Ewing, and Kevin Libranda, Riri Williams debuted in 2016’s Invincible Iron Man #7. The character is a 15-year-old teenage genius who uses her immense intelligence to reverse-engineer Tony Stark’s armor, eventually taking up the moniker of Ironheart.

Of course, in the comic books, Riri Williams actually REPLACES Tony Stark as Iron Man, before becoming Iron Heart. I guess Kevin Feige doesn’t want to touch that with a 50 foot pole, so they are just jumping straight to Iron Heart. But make no mistake faithful reader, this is just the start of replacing characters with minorities, females, or both. Welcome to 2021 WOKE AMERICA! Congrats! YOU DID IT! If were up to me, I’d pry your eyes open a-la Clockwork Orange and MAKE you watch this Y.A. woke crap, because let’s face it, you say you want it, you get it, and yet you won’t watch it.

And let’s remember, the comic books did this in 2016. NO ONE BOUGHT THE BOOK! Marvel spun off Iron Heart into her own book, and no one bought that! Marvel just eventually brought Tony back from the dead, but Feige doesn’t have that option. I guess Feige isn’t as smart as he thinks he is, not learning from Marvel’s woeness experiment from the comics.
